  1. Spook Up Your Work Look!

    0

    October 9, 2013 by Emily

I don’t know if you know this… but Jenn and I LOVE Halloween… Ok Ok Ok, we know you know. But seriously? Candy, Cocktails, Costumes and Craziness?! Bring.It.On.

I’ve been known to spends weeks (sometimes MONTHS) working on a halloween costume to wear out, but up until now I hadn’t been able to pick out a non-costume outfit to celebrate my favorite holiday. You see, a teacher wearing a costume is super distracting for 36 middle-school students… and I have enough to worry about in my classroom without adding extra distractions.

So how do you tastefully, and subtly express your love for halloween in a work environment? Spook up your look!

Everything is pretty subtle as far as a halloween look and I know for certain I would be wearing these pieces throughout the year!

What’s your favorite way to show some spooky spirit?

You can screen print at home for minimum cost with just a few supplies, most you might already have at home!

I myself am not a knitter, looking at a knitting or crochet project all I see is colored spaghetti on needles… and while I love tedious and obsessive crafts (I quilt and weave fabric…talk about tedious!!) knitting is not something I ever grasped well.  But, I am tremendously lucky to know amazing and talented friends who not only love to knit but rock at it! They also never tire of making me beautiful hats, gloves and sweaters!

As the seasons change I need to start preparing for the holidays, especially if I plan on hand making most gifts… and what better present for my knitters then beautiful custom dyed yarn?!

It’s becoming that time of year, my favorite time of year, where you can leave your windows open, drink a pumpkin latte, and read Martha Stewart’s Halloween magazine. Maybe that’s just me.. Either way, after a hot and HUMID August it finally feels crisp outside and that means it’s time to shop for that fall wardrobe! Emily and I chose some of our favorites for the upcoming season.
