I love postcards. I love receiving them and sending them. Postcards are an easy way to make someones day, say thanks, or to just let your buds know that you thinking of them. A while ago I received these “Naughty Little People Postcards” from a friend who combined my love for photography and tiny things. These postcards are made by an artist who took miniature figurines of people and put them into situations using human bodies or tiny sets as the background. I love them. I sent my postcard to my friend Meg who lives in Ohio now.
This is my favorite card out of the set. I mean, come on, he’s mowing the beard. That’s pretty darn cute.

For my challenge this week I watched Life In A Day. It’s a documentary made by National Geographic and it is amazing. They asked people from all over the world to film their lives on one day, July 24th, 2010. They received over 4,500 hours of footage from roughly 80,000 people. They put it all together and made one documentary that is almost 95 minutes long and it is SO GOOD.
What’s great is that since YouTube was a big part of it, you can watch the film for free here.

Unless you just got the internet yesterday or if you’ve been living in a bomb shelter until now, you are probably already aware of 2 amazing things. 1. The Royal Tenenbaums. (If I could be anyone in the world, I would be Margot.) 2. Lucky Jackson, or more appropriately, 365 Lucky Days. One work of art for one year. Stitched art of all kinds of things. See it here.
Now, take my two amazing things and combine them, you get this.
Prints of a lot her work, including this amazing print of Margot and Richie can be found in her Etsy shop. I can’t wait!

In keeping up with my 52 challenges, I chose this week’s challenge to make someone else’s DIY. There are so many fun things out there for me to choose from. There are so many bloggers that have come up with really awesome DIYs. Since I’m trying to revamp my place with some new art, I chose to take on a DIY from the ladies over at A Beautiful Mess. They created a really cool DIY to make song lyric wall art. I used a magazine photo that I loved as my background and instead of using song lyrics, I wrote something that I just need to remember all the time, to get stuff done!! You can learn how to make this DIY here. I think it’s so cute and it made a lovely addition to my living room!
