Right now I’m purging my closet of all the clothes that will never fit me, aren’t flattering or will never come back in style… and I will be the first to admit that usually I hold onto clothes well past their prime, so my purge pile is huge. While most of this will be going into charity, there are some items I just can’t bear to part with because even though they may be worn out or I look awful in them, they still hold a lot of sentimental value.
Instead of holding onto lumpy ill fitting sweaters and having them take up valuable real estate in my closet I decided to give my old duds new life and turn them into little stuffed pals!

Thanksgiving is coming up on us pretty fast and one of my favorite dinner staples is collard greens. They are delicious and healthy to boot! Since I don’t eat meat, I have to make a recipe that doesn’t include using a pork bone or chicken stock but is still tasty. I use this recipe all the time and it is so easy!!

I won’t lie, one of my households biggest budget (and diet) busters is take-out. My boyfriend spent his childhood living in England and because of that has a deep love for Indian food. It’s his go to comfort food, and since it’s cold season in Baltimore he’s been craving the spicy aromatic dishes.
Every time we want Indian we order some take away, but alas, Indian take away is full of dairy which is a big no-no for my stomach and after I looked at my most recent bank statement I said “no more!” While most cuisines I’ve managed to get the swing of, indian has always been a little scary to me, but cravings took over so I grabbed my spice box and started figuring out our house favorite; Chicken Tikka Masala, to fit our budget and our diet.

I fell in love with screen printing when I was in college, I loved being able to alter plain clothes with my own designs…but once I left my well equipped art college my options for screen printing got pretty small… however, my desire to personalize my things has not gone away. So I got crafty and improvised!
You can screen print at home for minimum cost with just a few supplies, most you might already have at home!
