In this feature, we will show you how to restyle clothing you already own in a new and fresh way. I purchased this denim top from Levi’s last year and sort of forgot about it. The top came with a denim belt that I wasn’t crazy about using them together. I think the matching materials threw me off, plus the belt sits in an awkward place (I have a long torso, see below).

I’ve been preoccupied lately with unpacking and organizing. Moving into a new apartment can be stressful and exciting. I went from living in one room in a house with roommates to living by myself in my own apartment. My problem now is that I’ve realized, well, I don’t really have any stuff. (HA) Being confined to one room, in a house where you aren’t really welcome to put anything downstairs, means that ALL of your belongings have to be boxed up or crammed into your small space. Looking around that room, I felt like I had SO MUCH STUFF. Now that I’m in this enormous apartment I realize that I need furniture! I didn’t have a couch, I still need a dresser and some kind of shelving and desk for my art stuff. WHEW. It’s kind of a lot.

It’s becoming that time of year, my favorite time of year, where you can leave your windows open, drink a pumpkin latte, and read Martha Stewart’s Halloween magazine. Maybe that’s just me.. Either way, after a hot and HUMID August it finally feels crisp outside and that means it’s time to shop for that fall wardrobe! Emily and I chose some of our favorites for the upcoming season.
